CANADIAN JUGGALO.COM INTERVIEW WITH A DON-DIDDY-DRIZZLE...... The Man, The Myth, The Illusion, The One And ONLY......Jumpsteady!
Interview performed by SnowyNutz
YO Rob, Wut up ....... Seeing as how this is your/Our first interview here at CanadianJuggalo.com, we decided to get questions in 2 different ways..... First, our fellow Canadian Juggalo's have some questions, and then we will pose the questions submitted to us by all the rest of the Juggalo's around the world, who took they time to write in, and ask u some shit they wanted to know.Alright sounds good to me. Before we begin I want to say what's up to all the motherfuckin Juggalos out there that are readin this shit.! All right go ahead. First off.... Beginning with ours:
Q - I wanted to know your thoughts on "The WRAITH: Shangri-La" and the attention it has been getting over the Internet, In the Juggalo community, and across the world.
A ~ I think that The Wraith is without a doubt ICP's best album that they have ever put out. They have evolved as musicians with every album and they have completely out did themselves this time. I can't even listen to the Wraith without getting goosebumps and shit. I can't really comment on all the internet talk about the Wraith because I never go into chat rooms but I have heard some talk that has been going around about track 17. For most they are touch by perhaps what is ICP's greatest song ever written but I also heard that some cried about it and wet there depends. All I can do is smile, because if anyone truly has ever listened to an ICP album they can clearly see that God has always been a big influence toward every Jokers Card. Every motherfuckin Jokers Card has always been the Heaven (Shangri La) or Hell concept. "You turn the crank and you go to Heaven or Hell." Fuck, do I even have to give examples of all the Pass me By" songs that are basically just like track 17 just not as blunt. I look at track 17 not only as one of ICP's greatest songs but also as a way to get across to all the dumb asses out their that never quite got ICP's message after all this time.
Q - Wut are your thoughts, concerning the whole "Marz" fiasco, and the "Myzery" thing that happened at the Gathering this year (and last in Toledo) seein as how u and Myzery are related.
A ~ I don't have any comment about Marz except that even with all the dissing he did I don't hate the ninja. Now what happened to Myzery, that I can comment about even though I have commented about this many times before. To put it short at last years Gathering, Myzery and some "lower tier" Psychopathic ninja from Twiztid's camp got in a fight on the side of the stage during the Dark Lotus set that was quickly broken up by myself and Bill Bill. Myzery did not start the fight and the "lower tier ninja" was completely at fought and was high, drunk or both. When Twiztid got off stage the "lower tier" ninja started carrying on about how he got fucked up by Myzery's camp so this enraged Twiztid who then confronted Myzery's camp at there hotel room. Tempers flared again and another fight broke out, at which time Twiztid's security dragged Twiztid away (because their job is to protect them.) In the end Blaze was hurt as well as a member of Myzery's camp. Now, Myzery has no beef with anyone at Psychopathic except Twiztid who he feels was wrong for rushing his camp in there hotel room before getting the full story. Twiztid is mad at Myzery for him pulling a pair of scissors on them during the fight and for doing a diss song on their new album. Myzery says he had to pull the scissors because when he opened the door there was over a hundred Juggalos in the hallway who seemed to be backing Twiztid and he was fearing for his life. In my opinion thugs will be thugs and sometimes the chemistry between two artists just doesn't mix. As a side note: besides the diss song to Twiztid (which I personally don't care) I thought the rest of Myzery's album was very good and I think he has a lot of talent for the rap game. I hope that he can find another avenue to find success. Outside the business, we remain friends.
Q - Will ICP and psychopathic be bringing their flavor up here for the wraith tour, or any tour for sure??? There has been speculation that they had their legal problems fixed so they could bring that shit to us in the north.
A ~ Unfortunately as far as I know almost every artist and Psychopathic ninja who works the tours has a criminal record of some sort that keeps them from entering Canada. I know that Alex has worked on trying to set a tour up in Canada and everyone is defiantly down to tour over there but because of the bones I don't think its possible yet.
Q - A lot of Juggalo's want to know when "Behind The Paint" is coming out for us juggalos and juggalettes to read? And when it does what stores will it be sold in? any kind of library? or what?
A ~ This book has been my project for some time now. I don't even want to bore y'all with all the behind the scenes bullshit that has been going down with book companies and shit. The last book company we were trying to work with wanted us to cut the book length in half because they felt it would appeal to the younger readers....fuck that, the book is the bomb and nobody is cutting shit out of it. The current plan, which is almost, 100 percent going to happen, is to release the book at this year's Gathering of the Juggalos. It looks like we are going to release the book ourselves and it should be available in all hot topics across the nation. By the way, the book is the absolute atom bomb!
Q - (crypnotic ninja from CJ.com here) In Morton's List, for the illustration for the "Crow-Pocalypse" quest, you have a photo of a crystal skull. I read up on these a bit and found out that they have mystic powers and shit. My question is, why did you choose to use a crystal skull on THATcertain page? Is there any reason behind it, or did cha just use it cause it's one trippy ass skull?
A ~ The crystal skull picture is actually a picture that complements the Twilight Scroll Table. The picture is a little strange because the Crow-pocalypse that's seen in the background is actually a shadow of the former page, as if you are looking through the page. The scull therefore makes more sense for the Twilight Scroll Table because there is actually a Crystal Skull Quest (#19.) I am a huge fan of crystal skulls because I find them fascinating and it is a life goal of mine to acquire one sometime in my lifetime. It was my idea to use the picture to represent the Twilight Scroll because I think it symbolizes the power and mystery that surrounds this most rare of Tables in the game.
Q - What advice would you give to a juggalo who really enjoys writtin lyrics and would like to get known but CANNOT singing/rapping?
A ~ One option would become a poet. Other then that all I know is that it is very hard to become known enough as a writer of great songs for people to actually buy your songs off you. Most artist like to write the lyrics to there own songs and the ones who don't are usually the artist you see on MTV and shit that use songs written by ninjas that do that shit for a living and make mad bank off it.
Q - A lot Of Juggalo's wanna know, if we will be seeing anymore Jumpsteady Albums in the future? Or any guest appearances that were allowed to know about?
A ~ I will probably be dropping some lyrics on other Psychopathic Ninjas albums but as for another Jumpsteady album it's hard to speculate at this time. The work load over here is very intense and there is little time for me to try an record an album and I am also currently working on another game that is a long way off from now but will require much of my free time.
Q - Do u ever plan on going on tour with a psychopathic artists and performing the stuff off of chaos theory, if so, what tour will you be playing on??
A ~ There is talk of me doing a Jumpsteady set at this years Gathering of the Juggalos Convention. I have also been doing spot appearances and performing the Chaos Theory song on the Diamonds Raining tour which was hype as hell to do.
Q - Whatever happened to Perpetual Hype Engine? In the B/B booklet their listed as "Psychopathic's own" which would certainly imply they are on the label. So what's the deal with that? Are they still around? If so, why haven't we heard from them? If not, what the hell happened to them?
A ~ To tell the truth I can't really fully remember. I never had anything to do with those ninjas and I don't really know the full story behind what happened. I remember they dissed Psychopatrik or some shit for waking them up for the "Lets go all the Way" video shoot thinking that Psychopatrik was just a lowly employee. I don't think they ever quite got the fact that at Psychopathic we are all family and they just wanted to be rock stars and pimp people. I think they just didn't work at our label because were more thugs over here then businessmen and we demand respect from all our artist.
Q - Seeing as how u had a lot to do with BIG MONEY HU$TLA$, im guessing you got alote to do wit the pre-quel can u say if blaze and abk are goin to have parts in it?
A ~ Of course!
Q - If a juggalo wanted to get a job sellin shirts or setting up stage shit at ur shows how he go bout doin that?
A ~ The best way is to try and get a job on one of our street teams and then bust our ass so you get noticed. From there you will get hired full time and be a part of the Family. Nobody just sells shirts or something we all do whatever is necessary at any given time to keep the carnival rolling. To get on the street team is not easy but you can start by sending in a proposal stating that you want to be on the street team and why. Don't forget to include your information.
Q - We gonna see you perform at next year's Gathering!?
A ~ Hopefully, yes.
Q - How did you feel when Joe told you he smoked weed?
A ~ I aint gona front, I don't do any drugs, smoke or drink and that has always been the Bruce Brother motto since we were little...but after Joe started having Panic Attacks and seeing the pain that he was going through, I was relived that he found a way to get rid of that pain and find happiness once again. A doctor actually gave him that advice to use weed to tackle his problem. Joe is now back in control of his life, he's happy, he looks great and anything that contributes to that is a good thing to me. I love my brother more then anything and I will always respect and admire him to the fullest.
Q - What was going through your mind, when the 6th was dropped in front of all the Juggalos at the Gathering?
A ~ Reflection over a ten-year legacy of mad fuckin flavor. It was one of the single greatest moments that I have had since ICP first began to see that huge aena packed with my Juggalo family surrounded by a hundred police officer's in riot gear. That moment was ours and it couldn't be taken not even by a million police officers. It was a moment that you could never buy with any amount of money and it was one that made me feel truly alive.
Q - (Here's an Army Question from a Juggalo)I know no ones asked this before but what was your MOS when u were in the army? My dad was ADA and in kuwait and u never know, yall might known each other lol. Also I leave soon for basic training for the marine corps it would be great if you could give em some words of advice.
A ~ Yea I can give you some advice. Basic training is very hard unless you can look at it with the proper train of thought. Don't go in there fearing weather your going to make it or not but go in there realizing that millions upon millions of ninjas have made it through basic before you and theirs no way that you will fall into that rare few that fail. Always believe that your just as strong as the majority of people that make it through and believe me I have seen some stupid and out-of-shape ninjas make it through basic so it doesn't take much, as long as you apply yourself. The other thing to remember is that as much screaming and yelling as the drill sergeants do, its all just a "GAME." Those Drill Sergeants are people just like you and me...they have families, get yelled at from there wives, play with there children, kick it with girls and get shot down or whatever. Never start to look at them as superhuman because they're not. There job is to apply pressure on you and try to break you because they are trying to weed out the weak-minded. As long as you can see that for what it is you will realize that it's all just a game or a test. Then it will almost seem funny to you. Also you must apply yourself fully. If they tell you to drop and do pushups, try to do your best and they will see that and not single you out. Try never to stand out for any reason. Never rock the boat. Drill sergeants love finding people who they feel are trouble and fucking with them all through basic. Out of hearing out of mind, is a very good motto in basic training, so just be quite. One more thing: you only truly have four joys in Basic that are all highly valued....and that is Water (which you can drink at almost any time because they fear soldiers dehydrating) Sleep (which is very little) Food (you are always extremely hungry because they work you so physically and mentally hard), and finally Mail. Letters from home is the single greatest joy you can receive in Basic and I know you think I am bull-shiting, but wait and see! Every night just before lights out they pass out the mail so make sure your family, your girl and your closest friends write you as often as possible because you don't want to be the only ninja walking away with no letter. My brother use to clip out interesting wrestling articles and shit from magazines and put them in his letters and for some reason I found that fresh to somehow be able to read those articles in Basic training. Last and not least don't fuck up and break the rules. Remember it's a game and if they catch you sneaking out the barracks at night, they will kick you out the Marines. There will be plenty of time to break the rules when you get in your unit at which point all you will have to do is perform extra duty, lose pay or lose rank...hey at least they're not kicking you out. Also, keep in mind that Basic Training is not what the army is like. Once you get through it and your Advanced Individual Training where you learn your Military Occupational Skill (MOS) you will be transfeared into your unit. There you will have most weekends off, fuck all the woman your pimpin skills allow (and civilian girls tend to really like a man in uniform), make friends that will last a lifetime and all that other good shit. If you're a girl joining the army I suggest that you don't go totally buck wild because it brings a really bad rap....I know its not fair but a lot of woman go into the Military and no matter how unattractive they might be, all of a sudden everyone is trying to fuck them, and for some girls they like all the attention and go buck wild. I have seen it happen many times and believe me they always regret it in the end. So if you're a girl really into sleeping around I suggest you do it outside your own company and more on the down low.
Anyway, that's all I got to say about that as for the first part of the question I will leave that for another time because it would take a long time to talk about that and I have answered that question in several other internet interviews, but the basic training question was a new one and a good question.
Q - Some Juggalo's want to know WHY "Chaos Theory" only had 6 tracks (well and u didn't shoot for a full lengh cd?
A ~ Simply because of time. I was working on the Gathering of the Juggalos at the same time that I was recording and working on the album. I just didn't have the time to do a full-length album.
Q - Alot of people have heard that the Shangri-la and Hells pit tours are going to be world wide, but is england gona be on this coz a uk juggalo wants to know.
A ~ Yes we have very big plans for Europe and Australia. I know that sucks for Canadian Juggalos but as was stated before there are very strict laws for allowing convicted flons into your country coming from america...go figure. We are still trying to find a way around these bones though. I was on a tour with ICP when they toured throughout Europe back in the day and it was mad fun over there, I will see you when we come around again ninja.
Q - What do you see as your place in the Dark Carnival?
A ~ I don't see any official title or place, I see myself there with many other ninjas as equals who have made it through the bullshit of life and have passed beyond into the greater reality of our existence.
Q - Whats your fav psychopathic album of all time?
A ~ The Wraith and I also highly enjoy Bizzar/Bizaar, Forgotten Freshness Volume 3 and the Riddle Box. Those are just a few of my all time favorites, cause I like a lot of albums from different artist.
Q - Have u ever done anything in your career that you've regretted later?
A ~ Not much, because I choose to stand by my discussions. One that comes to mind though is when we decided to wrap a van for the Tunnel of Love EP release and that went very badly because it was a pink van with flowers on it and Bill Bill had to beat many people down for rude comments thrown his way as he tried promoting in that van way back in the day before he became the road/stage manager/don mega. He finally pulled over and ripped all the shit off and drove home.
Q - We all know chaos theory was promised for a while, we finally got it and it was definitely worth the wait. Are there any other things that you would like to "close that chapter of your life, on" that you haven't shared with the juggalos before and wouldn't mind sharing now?"
A ~ Learn the powers of the Cuttlefish because one day they will rule the world...
Q - I'v heard that Netmaster Gordon was involved with the design/layout of your Cd booklet... did u have any input on that? Or was it all his call?
A ~ I had a lot of input on what it was to look like, he added some of his own and then freaked it. He brought all my ideas to light and made it look better then I thought it ever could. Net Master Gorden is a computer ninja wizard with crazy skills and a good friend of mine and I am happy to have him aboard the Psychopathic team. By the way that weird looking squid thing on the inside cover is a Cuttlefish.
Q - Ever since her first verse in "Family" Juggalo's wanna hear more and more of Sam.... Any plans of havin her on anymore Psychopathic stuff? Or on your solo stuff? For your daughter, she sure rips up a mic.
A ~ Hell yea! But that's truly up to her if she wants to keep pursuing the rap game. If she decides when she gets older that she wants to be a rapper or singer, then I will feel fortunate because I have the know how and the resources to help her make that dream possible. At this point and time she doesn't know what she wants to be when she gets older. I would never push her to become anything she didn't truly want to be. I love my daughter more then anyone could know, unless they have children of there own she motivates me through all my difficult times I just hope I can always do the same for her.
Q - Can u speculate on possible cities for the NEXT Gathering Of The Juggalo's 2003?
A ~ Yes...Fort Wayne, Wildwoods NJ, Providence RI, Cincinatie Oh, Lexington KY, or Denver CO because these are the cities that I am looking into and believe me its not a matter of choosing a city it's a matter of what city will have us. The Gathering is without a doubt a truly fuckin great time that cannot be expressed fully in words you have to live it to understand but on the downside the destruction each year is causing it to become harder and harder to find a place to host the Gathering. Last year ninjas were ripping seats out of the arena for some reason...why? I have no idea.
Q - Is there anything that we here at Cj's can do, in order to secure ourselves a promotional booth at the Next Gotj 2003? (this time, we gonna KNOW to smuggle our stuff)
A ~ Unfortunately we always switch up the Internet booths each year to give new ninjas a chance to have some flavor, so we will have to see what happens.
Q - Is there ever going to be any showing of videos like "Psychopathic Fuck Ups"? Things like when J wrestled pogo the fat fuckin clown, when Shaggy fell of the cage in that JCW cage match? or when he fell of the bus on nitro.
A ~ Probably not.
Q - On the Chaos Theory album, on the track "In the Last Second" The theme tune for an old skool sci-fi programe from the UK named Doctor Who is used as the melody/backing tune, I was wondering if you or fritz tha cat knew about it being from the program? or are you a fan of the show?
A ~ Listen... I am one of the biggest Doctor Who fans of all fuckin time and it makes me happy that someone caught that in the beat. But I only watch the episodes with Tom Baker in it because that ninja is funny as fuck. The beat was put together by Fritz the Cat, but it was totally my idea to use the Doctor Who theme music because I have heard that intro to that show a million times and somehow it never got played out to me and I still find it hype. I have an extensive collection of Doctor Who on VHS and always collect any new episode I see in a store that I don't have yet. If you haven't seen Doctor Who I do not suggest running off and buying videos or some shit because its defiantly not for everyone. The special effects are cheap, the film is cheap, the acting can be down right bad at times, the humor is strange, the plots are very strange but you know...theirs something about an infinitely intelligent, time/intersteller/deminsonal traveling, long scarf wearing, body transforming, always cool under pressure, wise craking alien that has no name, that I find incredibly amusing for some reason.
All right peace out yall and have a great chrirstmas and New Year! Peace and I'm out like Santa's seat cushion. |
